supervision. <br />7. Must be able to transport self to, from and around job sites. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />1. Thorough knowledge of uniform building codes, plumbing codes, mechanical codes, <br />general constriction codes, and a thorough knowledge of carpentry; considerable <br />knowledge in carpentry work, cement work, or plumbing, and skill in applying <br />knowledge of national uniform building codes, zoning and land use applications. <br />2. Ability to establish effective working relationships with contractors, developers, <br />architects, engineers, owners and the general public; ability to read and understand <br />complicated plans and blueprints; ability to communicate effectively orally and in <br />writing. <br />DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS <br />1. State Building Official Certification; I.C.B.O. Certification as a Plans Examiner; <br />Combination Inspector; or Equivalent Credentials. <br />2. Minimum of two (2) years journeyman experience in the building trades. <br />3. Computer Skills (i.e., permit tracking software) <br />TOOLS USED <br />Personal Computer (word processing, peiauit tracking and design calculation software); motor <br />vehicle, portable radio, telephone, calculator, ladder or scaffolding, and tape measurer. <br />
