Xcel
Energy has informed us that the cost to install a light and get power to it is
$2,634. The overhead light will be owned and maintained by Xcel Energy.
2795 to 2815 Lakeside Court
This location is at the cul -de -sac, at the end of a dead end street. The is no light at
this cul -de -sac and our street light policy allows a street light to be installed at the
cul -de -sac of dead end street to illuminate the end of the street. Since power is
readily available, there will be no installation charge by Xcel Energy. The light
will be owned and maintained by Xcel Energy.
Based on the above it is recommended that the City Council authorize staff to have Xcel
Energy install an overhead street light at the above locations a cost of $2,634.
H:AGregS \Streets \Lights \Street light memo to Council.doc
