MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 30, 2008 <br />Keis also suggested that some representative graphics be put together <br />showing what 60% outdoor storage would look like, as well as 40% and <br />50%. The City Administrator indicated that he would have the City <br />Engineer put together some representations. <br />Blesener summarized the issues to be determined at the next workshop <br />meeting: <br />• Amount of outdoor storage to be allowed; <br />• Major Engine Repair and Major Body Repair as separate licenses; <br />• Limitation on the number of Auto Repair Licenses; <br />• License outdoor storage; <br />• Diagram depicting varying amounts of outdoor storage (40%, 50%, <br />and 60%). <br />The City Administrator reported that there are ten auto repair licenses in <br />the City, of which eight are in Ryan Industrial park. The Administrator <br />reported that he would have the Code Enforcement Officer put together a <br />map showing license locations. <br />ZONING It was the consensus of the Council to keep moving forward with the <br />WORKSHOP revisions to the R-1 Zoning District, I-1 Zoning District, and <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment. <br />Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-1-26 - CALLING A JOINT WORKSHOP <br />MEETING WITH THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR <br />THURSDAY, FEBRUARY I4, 2008 AT 5:00 P.M. TO REVIEW <br />AMENDMENTS TO THE R-I ZONING DISTRICT, I-I ZONING <br />DISTRICT, AND TO REVIEW THE PROPOSED COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLANAMENDMENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COMP PLAN The City Planner reviewed the Preliminary Work Program and Timeline <br />AMENDMENT for the City's Comprehensive Plan Update. He noted that the timeline <br />extends through October. The Metropolitan Council requires completion <br />by December 31, 2008 which includes asix-month review for adjacent <br />communities. The Planner felt the timeline was workable, and indicated <br />that adjacent communities typically complete their reviews in less than six <br />months. The Planner indicated that there are not a lot of substantive <br />14 <br />
