MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 30, 2008 <br />changes necessary to the Comp Plan. Most of the change will involve <br />reformatting the plan to the Met Council's preferred format. The Planner <br />felt that the February 14, 2008 workshop should give the City a good start <br />on the process. <br />GOAL The City Administrator indicated that he will work with Mark Nagel to <br />SETTING put together a revised format for the 2008 Goal Setting Workshop. The <br />WORKSHOP consensus of the Council was to hold the workshop on Monday, February <br />25, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2008-I-27 - CALLING A 2008 GOAL SETTING <br />WORKSHOP FOR MONDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2008 AT 4:30 P.M. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2008 The City Administrator reported that the City is currently working with <br />IMPROVEMENTS- the City of Maplewood on the improvement of the Little Canada portion <br />of Beam Avenue by road reconstruction to an urban section and the <br />BEAM AVENUE installation of water main. This project is part of a larger project in the <br />City of Maplewood. The Administrator noted that Little Canada water <br />main will be brought into the Kohlman area, and Maplewood sanitary <br />sewer will be brought to the Richie and Sculley properties. The <br />Administrator noted the preliminary assessment roll prepared by the City <br />Engineer for the Little Canada residents along Beam Avenue. While <br />Maplewood's assessment calculations are somewhat different, the total <br />assessment levels are similar to those of Little Canada projects. The <br />Administrator reported that Little Canada will be entering into a Joint <br />Powers Agreement with the City of Maplewood to govern the project. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-I-28 -ACCEPTING THE FEASBILITY <br />REPORT AND CALLING AN IMPROVEMENT HEARING FOR THE <br />BEAMAVENUE ROAD RECONSTRUCTIONAND WATER MAIN <br />IMPROVEMENT FOR WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2008 AT 6:30 <br />P.M.
