515 Little Canaria Road, Little Canada, MN 55117-1600
(651) 766 -4029 / FAX: (651) 766 -4048
www.ci.little-canada.mn.us
June 20, 2002
Mr. George Rossez
203 Australian Avenue
Little Canada, MN 55117
Re: Advent Construction Property
350 Little Canada Road
Dear Mr. Rossez:
MAYOR
tblichael 1. Fahey
COUNCIL.
Beverly Scalze
Jim LaValle
Matt Anderson
Rick Montour
ADMINISTRATOR
Joel R. I- Janson
At their June 13th meeting, the Little Canada Planning Commission considered the concept of
rezoning certain properties from General- Business (B -3) to Residential Business (R -B). (Planning
Commission meeting minutes attached.) The Planning Commission felt the rezoning concept was
reasonable, and this concept will now be considered by the City Council at their June 26th meeting.
Should the Council agree that the concept is a reasonable one, a public hearing will be called at which
time formal action to rezone will be considered.
In considering this concept, the Planning Commission looked at only those Little Canada Road
properties east of 35E that are being used as residential properties. Upon further reflection, City staff
felt the Advent Construction property should also be included in this consideration. Therefore,
consideration of the concept for rezoning from B -3 to RB by the City Council at their June 26th
meeting will include your property. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
Should you have any questions in the meantime, please cal( me at 766 -4040.
Sincerely,
Joe(,Hanson
`--fiy Administrator
