attributable to Mn /DOT raising the grade of the freeway mainline, therefore this cost will
be born by Mn/DOT.
3) Greg asked that stormwater drainage from the intersection of County Road
D and Edgerton Street be drained into the freeway drainage system. This will be done.
4) Vadnais Heights would like to include new water main as part ofMn /DOT's
reconstruction of Vadnais Road. Little Canada wants to include water main as part of the
reconstruction of County Road D. This work will be incorparated into the plan. Separate
pay columns in the plan will list city cost participation.
5) County Road D will continue to be designed to a 48 foot wide curb to curb urban
design. Mn/DOT will provide an adequate berm (12 feet wide minimum behind the north
curb, between the curb and a possible noise wall) to accomodate a future 10 foot wide
bituminous trail. This berm area will also be able to serve as a utility corridor. The local
agencies are planning to extend the urban design of County Road D. It was agreed that
Mn/DOT would design its stout sewer system to accommodate, for both the inten-im
rural and the future urban drainage, the storm water it is already receiving from the
County Road D area.
6) All parties are concerned about the impacts of the propsed wider urban roadways will
have on the adjacent property owners. Not all of the impacts are known at this time.
Mn/DOT is planning to host a public informational meeting regarding the proposed
Unweave the Weave project in May when more of the project impacts will be known.
One station at the meeting will deal with the impacts associated with the first Letting
(Edgerton, County Road D, and Vadnais Road).
ACTION: Jeff will calculate construction limits and driveway profiles.
ACTION: Jeff will ask Mn /DOT's design consultant if they can have noise analysis
available in time for a public meeting in May.
ACTION: Frank, Marc, and Jeff will schedule appointments to attend workshop
sessions with the city councils on April 10 111. We will attend a workshop session with
Little Canada between 5:30 and 7:15 PM. We will attend a workshop session with
Vadnais Heights City Council at 7:30 PM.
cc: attendees
Deb Anderson
Mark Beatty
Don Flemming
Mike Engh
Doug Hoppe
Dan Prather
Brad Skow
Lee Williams
- 2 2 -
