The application letter indicates the value of having an on -site storm shelter, but does
not address any other standards that may apply to the structure. The City's building
official may wish to comment on the use of the proposed structure for shelter purposes,
and the expectations for the number of occupants that could be accommodated within.
With these comments, we would recommend approval of the permit for a storm shelter
addition to a non - conforming manufactured home park. As noted in the ordinance, the
shelter would be included as a part of the non - conforming improvements, subject to the
other regulations of Section 903.010 of the zoning ordinance.
pc: Kathy Glanzer
Steve Westerhaus
Terry Maurer
Greg Schroeder
Joe Dunn, 3020 Estates, 3020 Rice Street, Little Canada, MN 55113
