In buildings with an approved automatic sprinkler system, legal fireworks indoor <br />sales displays or storage shall be limited to one hundred (100) lbs. net pyrotechnic <br />composition, or four hundred (400) lbs. gross weight if the pyrotechnic composition <br />weight is not known. <br />G. The license shall be posted in a conspicuous location near the main entrance. A list <br />of all legal fireworks displayed and stored on the property shall also be posted in a <br />conspicuous location. A list shall document the name, weight and quantity of the <br />legal fireworks and shall be accompanied by the material safety data sheets. Upon <br />request, samples of the legal fireworks shall be made available to the Fire Chief for <br />testing. <br />1-H. Manufacturing, warehouse buildings or other buildings in which there are displays of <br />legal fireworks in excess of the quantities listed in paragraphs "E" and "F" above <br />shall be listed as an H occupancy and protected similar to explosives and aerosols. <br />820.070. DISCHARGE RULES AND REGULATIONS. <br />A. It is unlawful to use or discharge any legal fireworks along the route of and during <br />any parade or at any assembly building, as defined in the Uniform Building Code, or <br />in any commercially zoned district. <br />B. It is unlawful at any time to throw any ignited legal fireworks at any person, animal, <br />vehicle, or other thing or object. <br />C. Smoking shall be prohibited within one hundred (100) feet of any building or stand in <br />which legal fireworks are manufactured, stored, or sold. The discharge of legal <br />fireworks or any other fireworks shall be prohibited within one hundred (100) feet of <br />any building or stand in which legal fireworks are manufactured, stored or sold. <br />D. Legal fireworks may only be discharged in an area with a water source connected to a <br />hose or other acceptable means of extinguishing a fire. <br />E. The Fire Chief may ban the discharge of legal fireworks or shorten the time for the <br />discharge of legal fireworks if in his opinion, unsafe, dry or windy conditions exist. <br />F. Juveniles may not possess legal fireworks unless the juveniles are under the direct <br />supervision of a responsible adult. <br />G. Fireworks and legal fireworks which violate any provision of this ordinance, State <br />law, rules or regulations, and pose a threat to public safety may be confiscated and <br />destroyed. The costs associated with disposal of such fireworks or legal fireworks <br />shall be assessed to the owner of the confiscated material and the property on which <br />320 -3 <br />-4 <br />
