Fahey
COUNCIL
jim LaValle
Matt Anderson
Rick Montour
Bill Blesener
515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117.1600
(651) 766 -4029 / FAX: (651) 766 -4048 ADIVBNLSTRATOR
www.ci.little- canadamn.us Joel R. Hanson
MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council
FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator
DATE: May 23, 2003
RE: Employment Agreement with Michelle Rueckert
Pursuant to the Council's recent discussions, I have attached the proposed employment agreement with Michelle
Rueckert. This agreement becomes necessary due to the "exempt" status we have granted this position from an
employment standpoint. It mirrors the terms and conditions of similar agreements with the Director of Public
Works and the Building Official. I have adjusted severance arrangements whereby we grant one month's pay if
we terminate the employee during the first three years of employment. This was done due to Ms. Rueckert's
initial employment date of July 2, 2001. Vacation and sick leave accruals are also based upon her initial
employment date.
Subject to any comments by the City Attorney, I would recommend approval as presented.
c: Michelle Rueckert
1
