DUES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS. City will budget and pay the professional dues, <br />subscriptions, and licensure for Rueckert for her continued participation in national, regional <br />state, and local associations necessary and desirable for her continued professional <br />participation, growth and advancement and for the good of City. Enrollment in these <br />organizations shall be reviewed and approved by the City Administrator. <br />10. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. City will budget and pay the travel (when not using a <br />City vehicle) and subsistence expenses of Rueckert for professional and official travel for <br />meetings and occasions adequate to continue the professional development of Rueckert and to <br />adequately pursue necessary official and other committees thereof which employee serves as a <br />member. Rueckert will use good judgment in her outside activities so as to not neglect her <br />primary duties to City. City will also budget for and pay the travel and subsistence expenses <br />of Rueckert for short courses, or seminars necessary for her professional growth and for the <br />good of City, as approved by the City Administrator. <br />11. TERMINATION AND SEVERANCE PAY. In the event that Rueckert is terminated by the <br />City during such time that Rueckert is willing and able to perform the duties of Accounting <br />Supervisor, then in that event, the City will pay Rueckert a lump sum cash payment equal to <br />one month of aggregate salary if termination occurs prior to July 2, 2004. Payment of <br />severance benefit is conditioned upon Rueckert's execution of a full release, in a form that is <br />acceptable to the City, of any and all claims arising out of her employment relationship with <br />the City. Any severance payments will be made without a matching deferred compensation <br />payment from the City. In addition to said severance pay, Rueckert shall be paid for any <br />accrued and unused vacation. No compensation shall be given for any unused sick leave. <br />However, in the event Rueckert is terminated because of her conviction for any illegal act <br />3 <br />4- <br />
