BMP Name: Public Education and Outreach Program <br />Unique ID: 4 -01 -R <br />MCM: #4 — Construction Site Storm Water Controls <br />o{ Little Can <br />a4,a <br />COMMUNITY PRIDE <br />1953 - 2003 <br />Description: <br />The City's public education and outreach program consists of several activities and BMPs designed <br />to educate contractors about the permit requirements and proper erosion and sediment control. <br />Justification: <br />This is a required BMP under the NPDES General Permit in Part V.G.1.b. <br />Responsible Staff/Position: <br />Public Works Director 651.766.4049 <br />Measurable Goals: <br />1. Track and record public education and outreach activities related to each BMP 4 -02 -R to 4 -05. <br />2. Maintain City website annually. <br />3. Acquire information and education materials from RWMWD. <br />4. Update flyers and education materials, as needed. <br />Implementation Schedule: <br />1. Maintain City website annually. <br />2. Continue publishing City Newsletter as budget allows. <br />Education Program /Public Outreach Component: <br />1. Audience or audiences: Contractors and developers are the primary audience with residents <br />receiving benefit from web site and written material. <br />2. Increased awareness: The program will make contractors and developers more aware of the need <br />for and proper installation of erosion and sediment control practices. <br />Annual Reporting Items: <br />1.
