These connections will allow residents to access regional trail systems and regional park systems in adjacent communities. The first trail connection project extends the existing Little Canada trail system from Westwinds Park to the east City boundary with Maplewood at Maple Leaf Court. This 2000 lineal foot connection will link with the Maplewood trail system and will provide a critical connection to the Lake Links Regional Trail and the Bruce Vento Regional Trail. The second trail connection project extends the existing Little Canada trail system from the Waterworks trail at South Owasso Boulevard. This 4000 lineal foot connection will link with the Shoreview trail system and will provide a critical connection to the Snail Lake, Grass Lake, Lake Vadnais Regional Park and Trail System.
