Hanson <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Fahey & Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Greg Schroeder, Public Works Director <br />DATE: February 21, 2003 <br />RE: Additional Information on Street Name Signs <br />At the last Council meeting you indicated that you may be interested in either option A) resigning the <br />Entire City or option B) resigning Boarder, County, and Main through Streets and have the <br />remaining streets resigned over a couple of years. To help you detennine which option you would <br />prefer, I have obtained more accurate cost information from a sign company. The costs have increase <br />over that reported to you earlier due to a reduction of the estimated number of signs with the same <br />name on them. The more signs you get with the same name on them the less they cost. <br />Entire City <br />There are a possible 151 known street name sign locations in the City of Little Canada. If we were to <br />resign the entire city, the revised cost to for the signs and installation is: <br />Sign Type 151 Signs <br />Single Face Street Name Signs $18,500 <br />Double Faced Street Name Signs $25,845 <br />Boarder, County & Main Streets <br />There are 109 know street name sign locations for this alternative.
