CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2026-4-51 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH RAMSEY COUNTY <br />FOR LITTLE CANADA ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Little Canada Road is a County Road located within the City of Little Canada that <br />connects with Lakeshore Avenue and Country Drive; and <br /> <br />WHERAS, Little Canada Road is utilized by residents and the general public in a wide variety of <br />transportation modes (vehicles, towing trailers, bicycles, pedestrians, etc.), and the corridor between <br />Lakeshore Avenue and I-35E is generally considered congested with opportunities to <br />improve safety for both vehicles and pedestrians; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, County and City staff have collaborated to identify and develop a project to improve <br />congestion and safety in the corridor and said project has been awarded funding through the 2022 <br />HSIP Program, 2023 Local Road Improvement Program, and 2024 Regional Solicitation Program; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Little Canada continues to act as the lead agency on this collaborative <br />project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County has programmed improvements to Little Canada Road in its 2026-2030 <br />Transportation Improvement Program for 2026 construction; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Little Canada has programmed improvements to Little Canada Road in its <br />2026-2035 Capital Improvement Plan for 2026 construction; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Little <br />Canada: <br /> <br />1. The Little Canada Road Improvements Project Cooperative Agreement with Ramsey <br />County is accepted. <br /> <br />2.
