Hanson <br />The Ramsey - Washington Metro Watershed District has requested that the City provide $500 in <br />funding for WaterFest 2003. As you will recall, a similar request was denied by the Council for <br />WaterFest 2002 due to budget constraints and based on the feeling that the Watershed should levy for <br />this cost and spread it out over the entire district. <br />We asked the Watershed to provide information relative to funding or in -kind service that other cities <br />in the Watershed District have provided. That information is attached for your review. It appears we <br />are in the minority by not contributing. <br />With 2003 looking very grim from a budgetary standpoint, I am not in the position to recommend a <br />donation. However, I feel this is a worthwhile event and we should consider having some type of <br />presence. <br />
