Rice Street Crossings Redevelopment <br />(ii) Traffic volumes and capacity: Existing, Projected <br />(iii) Transit service: Existing, Planned <br />(iv) Rail Use <br />(e) Environmental Studies and Plans <br />(i) Watershed District <br />(ii) Environmental Analysis <br />(iii) Vadnais -Snail Lake Regional Plan <br />(B) Meet with the technical advisory committee and with representatives of those <br />agencies who have planned improvements for this area gain a comprehensive <br />understanding of their needs, planned improvements, timing and issues involved. <br />(C) Conceptual Site and Building Designs. <br />(1) Develop a series of conceptual site and building designs for the reuse of the <br />Ramsey County Maintenance Facility. Involve Metro Transit to determine what <br />their needs are for a multi -use transit hub and park and ride facility at this site. <br />Work with the City of Shoreview to ensure that the devised plans meet their <br />development objectives. The preferred redevelopment plan will show land uses, <br />location on site, circulation patterns, connections, and the environmental <br />infrastructure. Consider uses that will be compatible consistent with the overall <br />goals for this site; recognize adjacent land uses and roadway improvements. <br />(2) Develop a series of conceptual site and building designs for the reuse of this area <br />in response to the planned improvements. The area influenced by these proposed <br />improvements will be identified and a plan developed. This plan will address: <br />a. Mix and intensity of uses. <br />b. New housing opportunities, housing type and density. <br />c. Proximity to existing employment centers and opportunities for new <br />employment within the project area. <br />d. Connections between housing, jobs and transportation and natural features. <br />e. Environmental infrastructure <br />(D)Public Participation. Facilitate a series of workshops with a task force consisting of <br />elected officials, property owners and businesses to gain input regarding the <br />redevelopment of this area. These workshops will consist of: <br />(1) Workshop #1. Introduction of project, goals and objectives and planning <br />process. Task force participation should provide general feedback regarding the <br />project. <br />(2) Workshop #2. Educate task force with findings regarding research and analysis. <br />Unveil a series of concept plans for both the concept land use plan and <br />redevelopment plans for the Ramsey County Maintenance Facility.
