low enough to create an incentive to use the service. Items to be <br />collected shall include: construction material, scrap iron, tires, <br />furniture, recyclables, and refuse. The Contractor shall be responsible <br />for collecting fees at the time of drop off. <br />k. Notification. If any resident of the City places any items out for pickup <br />and the item is not taken by the Contractor, the Contractor shall <br />provide immediate written notification to the resident of reason(s) for <br />refusal to pick up the item. Notification must be left on the item(s) <br />in question. <br />1. Reasonable exceptions as to the manner of pickup for handicapped or <br />disabled residents shall be made by the Contractor. <br />2. Yard Waste Collection Service. <br />a. Description. Yard waste collection service shall include the collection <br />of all yard waste from residential dwelling units in the City of Little <br />Canada. Cost for this service is described in Attachment "A." <br />b. Cost. Contractor shall sell stickers to residents for the purpose of <br />each, and can be purchased by calling the Contractor. <br />Of <br />b. Location. Residential dwelling units shall have their yard waste <br />segregated from other refuse in a plastic bag or a permanent can <br />clearly identified as "Yard Waste" located at the boulevard adjoining <br />the curb on or before 7:00 a.m. on the designated day of collection. <br />c. Frequency. Yard Waste Collection Service shall be provided from April <br />1" through November 30th April 15 to June 1 and October 1 to <br />Tevember-15 each year and each residential dwelling unit shall have <br />its yard waste collected a minimum of once per week on the same day <br />as refuse collection service, provided the City provide an approved <br />d. Reporting. Tonnages or yards of yard waste collected shall be reported <br />to the City on a bi- annual basis. Amounts in unit agreed to be parties <br />(yards, or tons) reported monthly or quarterly. <br />e. Conveyance of Yard Waste. The Contractor shall be responsible for the <br />safe, legal, and environmentally sound conveyance of all yard waste <br />collected under this Contract.
