approved containers provided by the City located at the boulevard <br />adjoining the curb on or before 7:00 a.m. on the designated day of <br />collection. <br />e. Frequency. Each residential dwelling unit shall have its recyclables <br />collected a minimum of once per week on the same day as refuse <br />collection service. The Contractor shall collect all residential <br />dwelling unit recyclables on the same day as refuse service. <br />f Reporting. Tonnages of recyclables collected shall be reported to the <br />City on a bi- annual basis. These tonnages must be reported by <br />individual materials collected and the place where the recyclables are <br />delivered must be disclosed. If the tonnages are estimates, the <br />method of estimation must also be disclosed and Contractor will do <br />everything possible to ensure the accuracy of estimates. Monthly <br />tonnages of recyclable materials collected will be reported monthly <br />to the City. <br />g. <br />Conveyance of Recyclables. The Contractor shall be responsible for the <br />safe, legal, and environmentally sound conveyance of all recyclables <br />collected under this Contract. The Contractor shall convey the <br />recyclables to a market which assures these materials will not be <br />landfilled. The Contractor shall not mix other types of refuse or <br />inorganic materials with the recyclables or take any action so as to <br />make the recyclable material unacceptable to the operators of the <br />recycling center. <br />h. Material Preparation & Separation Requirements. The Contractor is <br />responsible for immediately informing residential dwelling units of <br />how to properly prepare recyclables for collection. If the Contractor <br />fails to pick up a recyclable at a residential dwelling unit because it <br />was improperly prepared, it is the Contractor's responsibility to <br />immediately inform in writing the residential dwelling unit how to <br />properly prepare the recyclables so that they will be acceptable for <br />pick up. Any change in material preparation and separation <br />requirements must be approved by the City prior to implementing <br />such change and the Contractor shall bear full responsibility for <br />notifying residents of changes. <br />a.
