after receiving the City's notice, a resident still fails to make payment, <br />the City will reimburse the Contractor for the delinquent amounts and <br />the Contractor will credit the appropriate amounts to the delinquent <br />residents' accounts. If any resident is delinquent by more than 90 <br />days, the City, within six months of the Contractor's notification and <br />proof of such delinquency, shall make payment to the Contractor. <br />The City will bill residents property taxes or utility bills for <br />delinquent fees. A penalty f$35.00 will be charged to all delinquent <br />accounts. <br />e. The Contractor shall provide notice to the City of any change of <br />ownership of the Contractor, and the Contractor shall provide the City <br />with an affirmative undertaking regarding this Contract by the buyer <br />of the Company. <br />D. Performance Standards of Contract. . The Contractor shall <br />supply all labor, material, and equipment necessary for the carrying out of this <br />Contract. <br />1. Equipment <br />a. Vehicle Protection. All trucks or motor vehicles used by the Contractor <br />shall be water -tight so as not to allow the leakage of liquids or refuse <br />while hauling the same and shall be covered to prevent the scattering <br />of its contents upon the public streets or private properties in the City. <br />Should any garbage be dropped or spilled in collection or <br />transporting, it shall be immediately cleaned up. A broom and shovel <br />shall be carried on each vehicle at all times for this purpose. <br />b. Cleaning. All vehicles shall be kept in a clean and sanitary condition. <br />c. Painting. The packer body shall be painted and numbered, and shall <br />have the Contractor's name and telephone number painted in letters <br />of a contrasting color, at least three inches (3 ") high, on each side of <br />the vehicle and the number painted or a decal placed on the rear. <br />d. Maintenance. The trucks shall be maintained in good working order. <br />They shall be equipped to meet all federal, state, and municipal <br />regulations concerning vehicles used on public roads and maintained <br />to meet these standards. <br />e. Vehicle Inspection. All vehicles used in the performance of this Contract <br />shall be made available for inspection at least once each year. <br />-]]- <br />Page 152 <br />
