A building permit was issued to Mr. LeTourneau in 1956. A permit for an Auto Body Shop was
issued in 1957. The property was sold to Mr. Weber in 1972. It was purchased by Mr. Bordsen
in 1997.
A garage on this property was severely damaged by the fire that started next door. I believe it
will be a total loss and will have to be removed.
2968 Rice Street
Ann Trobec
This house was probably built in the late 50's. There were building permits issued to Trobec
from 1963 through 1969 for garage construction and additions to the buildings in the rear of the
house. The rear buildings were leased to commercial businesses through 1996, and it appears
that a lawn- maintenance/ snow removal company is leasing the center area. The rear garages are
being leased to "hobby" mechanics. I do not know who is renting which areas of the property.
There are numerous violations on this property, primarily dealing with illegal storage of
inoperable/ unlicensed/ junk vehicles, boats, camper trailers, trailers, motorhomes, and general
trash. There is also occupancy of buildings that have no water and sewerl service.
Mitigating Circumstance? Mrs. Trobec is a VERY elderly lady. She became quite excited at
my first letter. I don't want her to have any health problems over this issue. I have sent a letter to
her requesting information on those who are renting from her. When I get that information I will
deal with the renters directly and quickly to resolve this matter. The water and sewer issues may
be in the building inspector's area of expertise.
2990 Rice Street
Daniel Tacheny
It appears that this house was moved onto the property in 1965. It was owned by a Mr. Nadeau
from 1965 through 1996. It was re- roofed by another owner in 1999. It appears that it was
purchased by Mr. Tacheny in 2000.
Violations
The area is zoned PUD.
Where do I start? The property was used as a residence prior to 2000. Mr. Tacheny bought it
and converted it to office use without PUD approval. The lot is being used to store his
dumpsters and vehicles for his roofing business. He has not responded to my letters.
This one is on my short list of high priority items. However, I can only juggle two or three
high priority, time consuming, intensive enforcement issues at once. Therefore it has been
"on a back burner" while I have dealt with other problems that were higher on the list and
handled the fresh citizen complaints.
Page 41
