PART IV <br />ITEMS FOR METROPOLITAN AREA PUBLIC SUPPLIERS <br />Metropolitan area conservation and emergency plans must be consistent with current <br />statutes and with Metropolitan Land Use Planning Act, upon which local comprehensive <br />plans are based. <br />SECTION A. Description of Municipal System <br />PART I.A through PART I.D and PART II.B fulfill the requirements of this section. <br />SECTION B. Water Utility Operations <br />Policies <br />It is the policy of the City of Little Canada to provide good quality water at a <br />reasonable cost, while assuring that the water supply is adequate to meet the <br />City's demand. The City of Little Canada will accomplish this while employing <br />conservation measures to assure that water use does not have long term negative <br />impact on our supplier or their water sources. <br />Objectives <br />Wise use and protect of the water the City of Little Canada purchases from the St. <br />Paul Water Utility. This will be accomplished through system operation and the <br />conservation and emergency plans described in this report. <br />Standards <br />Criteria to be used in system operation are developed in PART I through PART <br />III. Triggers for implementing short-term demand reduction measures are <br />discussed in PART II.F. <br />SECTION C. Conservation Program <br />PART 'ILA through PART IILD fulfill the requirement s of this section. <br />SECTION D. Emergency Preparedness /Contingency Plan <br />PART ILA and PART ILC through PART ILH fulfill the requirements of this section. <br />Page 133 <br />
