Revised 12/06/00 <br />(a) Such lot or tract of land has been assessed for the cost of constriction of the <br />water main with which the connection is made, or <br />(b) If no assessment has been levied for such construction cost, the proceedings <br />for levying such assessment have been or will be completed in due course, or <br />(c) <br />If no assessment has been levied, and no assessment proceeding will be <br />completed in due course, that a sum equal to the portion of the cost of <br />constructing said water main would be assessable against said lot or tract has <br />been paid to the City, or <br />(2) If the above conditions have not been met, no petutit to tap or connect to any water <br />main shall be issued unless the applicant shall pay an additional connection fee which <br />shall be equal to the portion of the cost of construction of the said main which would <br />be assessable against said lot or tract to be served by such tapping connection. Said <br />assessable cost shall be determined upon the same basis as any assessment previously <br />levied against other property for the said main. If no such assessment has been <br />levied, the assessable cost will be determined upon the basis of the uniform charge <br />which may have been or which shall be charged for similar tapping or connection <br />with said main, determined on the basis of the total assessable cost of said main, <br />allocated on a frontage basis, acreage basis, or both. <br />1601.250. LOCATION OF STOP BOXES. Curb stop boxes will be installed at a point on <br />the property line most suitable to the property and shall be left in an accurate position when back <br />filling is completed. Curb stop boxes will be installed at an approximate depth of seven (7) feet <br />below the grade established by the Plumbing City Inspector. Type K copper tubing shall be used for <br />installation of water service. <br />1601.260. SUPERVISION OF PLUMBER. BONN LICENSE REQUIRED. All piping <br />connections from curb box to house supply piping shall be made under the supervision of a plumber <br />or a water /sewer installer, subject to inspection by the Utilities Public Works Department. Before <br />any person firm or corporation engages in the business of water /sewer installation within the City, <br />he shall make application to the City for a license. shall pay a fee, and shall file with the City <br />Administrator a bond and certificate of insurance per Section 302.020. This license must be obtained <br />before a permit shall be issued. Any person, firm or corporation so enraged as a plumber or water <br />sewer installer will be required by the City to fumish a ..urcty bond in the amount of Five Thousand <br />Dollars (55,000.00) and will be required to file with the City Clerk a certificate f insuranee <br />evidencing coverage, the sufficiency of which shall be determined by the City Clerk, before a permit <br />shall be i °sued. <br />1601.270.
