Proposed Route 64 — Little Canada, Edgerton Street, St. Paul
The proposed route would be a simplified version of present routes 11 and 15 in northern St. Paul
neighborhoods. Two route branches would still be needed: The west branch would leave Edgerton
to serve Westminster and Roselawn — a high ridership area — and would proceed north on
Edgerton to the Little Canada Transit Center at Marketplace Shopping Center. The east branch of
the route would tum east from Edgerton on Larpenteur and follow Frost, English, County Road B
and White Bear Avenue to Maplewood Mall.
MODIFIED Route 64 (remains St. Paul 11) - Little Canada, Edgerton Street, St. Paul
This modification is the first phase of implementation for Route 64. Current Route 11 DM branches
will be replaced by Route 223 between Little Canada and Maplewood Mall. Route 11 DM branches
will be rerouted to the Little Canada Transit Center for connections to Route 223.
Service Day: 4 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Rush Hour Frequency: every 15 to 30 minutes
Midday Frequency: hourly
Early morninglevening Frequency: hourly
Proposed 17 - Washington
The current Route 18 Washington Avenue branch would be unchanged in routing and service
levels. It would be routed through downtown and meet with Route 17 for a better match in
frequencies, and to permit the two current Route 18 branches — which are totally different in the
adjacent Metro Transit service area — to have different numbers for reduced passenger confusion.
NO MODIFICATIONS
Service Day: 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Rush Hour Frequency: every 15-20 minutes
Midday Frequency: every 30 minutes
Early morning/evening Frequency: half hourly /hourly
Page 256
