plastics. <br />S. Townhome. Structures containing two or more units of not more than three (3) stories <br />each and contiguous to each other. Said units shall also be governed by an association <br />for the entire series of structures within any such development. <br />T. Toxic and Hazardous Wastes. Toxic and hazardous wastes are waste materials <br />including, but not limited to, liquid paint, motor oils, batteries, poisons, pesticides, <br />herbicides, acids, caustics, pathological wastes, radioactive materials, flammable or <br />explosive materials, and similar harmful chemicals and wastes which require special <br />handling and must be disposed of in a manner to conserve the environment and protect <br />public health and safety. <br />U. Yard Waste. All organic plant material that can be composted including grass clippings, <br />leaves, soft garden material, brush and tree limbs under four inches in diameter and four <br />feet in length provided they are bundled with twine or other organic material. <br />IV. SCOPE OF CONTRACT. <br />A. Collection Service Provided by Contractor. <br />1. Garbage and Refuse Collection. <br />a. Description. Refuse collection service shall include the collection of all <br />garbage and refuse from residential dwelling units in the City of Little <br />Canada. Recyclables, bulky items, and yard waste shall be collected <br />separately. Included in the cost of this service is the collection of one <br />Christmas tree (not wrapped in a plastic bag and free of ornaments and <br />tinsel) annually from every residential dwelling unit and three bulky <br />items per year. Cost for this service is described in Attachment "A." <br />b, Exclusions. Refuse collection service shall not include the collection of: <br />(I) Toxic and hazardous waste including items such as batteries, <br />construction material, motor oils, and paint in liquid form. <br />(2) Major appliances, except as provided for in Bulky Item Pickup. <br />(3) Tree limbs, brush and such other items, except as provided for in <br />Yard Waste. <br />(4) Animal waste and solid waste materials resulting from industrial, <br />commercial, and agricultural operations, and from community <br />activities. <br />(5) Earthen fill, boulders, rock, and other materials normally handled <br />-4- <br />5 <br />
