in construction operations, solids or dissolved materials in <br />domestic sewage or other significant pollutants in waste resources, <br />such as silt, dissolved or suspended solids in industrial waste <br />water effluent, dissolved materials in irrigation return flows; or <br />other common water pollutants. <br />(6) Electronics containing cathode ray tubes (CRT's). <br />c. Containers. All occupants of residential dwelling units in the City <br />shall be required by ordinance to keep garbage and refuse in an approved <br />container(s) of approximately 30, 60, or 90 gallons. Exempted are senior <br />residents who qualify for the low volume bag rate. They may use <br />stickered 30- gallon trash bags. <br />d. Location. Residential dwelling units shall have, as required by the City <br />ordinance, their container located at the boulevard adjoining the curb on <br />or before 7:00 a.m. on the designated day of collection, <br />e. Frequency. Each residential dwelling unit shall have its refuse collected <br />a minimum of once per week. <br />f. Additional Collection Service. Refuse in excess of the designated <br />volume -base per dwelling unit or residential dwelling units desiring <br />collection of items from a location other than the boulevard adjoining the <br />curb will be subject to additional collection service charges as set forth in <br />Attachment "B." Collection service for white goods and bulky items <br />must have prior arrangements with the City for collection and shall also <br />be billed in accordance with Attachment "B"; except as provided for in <br />Bulky Item Pickup. <br />g. Reporting. Tonnages of refuse or garbage collected shall he reported to <br />the City on an annual basis with said reports to be submitted by January <br />22nd of the following year. <br />h. Free Pick -Up at City -Owned Properties. Waste Management of <br />Minnesota, Inc. and Allied Waste shall provide service as necessary for <br />the collection and disposal of refuse, recyclables and yard waste from all <br />City -owned properties, including parks and the City's Canadian Days <br />Celebration, at no cost to the.City during the term of this Contract. This <br />provision applies to the typical generation of waste and does not include <br />extraordinary clean -outs. <br />i. Disposal. The Contractor shall be responsible for the safe, legal, and <br />environmentally sound disposal of all refuse, white goods, and any other <br />items and materials collected under this Contract.
