ever had a license issued by the Board or Director revoked for a violation of law or board <br />rule regulating lawful gambling. The organization shall further provide confirmation that <br />no director, member of the governing body, employee or consultant to the organization <br />has been convicted of a felony or a gross misdemeanor involving theft, dishonesty or <br />false statement, or involving the sale or possession of a controlled substance within five <br />(5) years immediately prior to the issuance of a license or has ever been convicted of a <br />crime involving gambling or has ever had a license issued by the Board or Director <br />revoked for a violation of law or Board Rule regulating lawful gambling. <br />815.025.(I) On or before the one (1) year anniversary of the issuance of an <br />organizational license or premises permit or bingo hall license, the City Council shall. <br />may hold a formal review of the licensee's or permit holder's compliance with this <br />Chapter or State Statutes. Bingo hall licenses are one -year licenses and are reviewed <br />annually. Upon a finding of noncompliance, the City Council may revoke or suspend a <br />bingo hall license, organizational license, or premises permit. <br />Section 4. <br />Section 815.035. is hereby amended in its entirety to read as follows: <br />815.035. LAW ENFORCEMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS. Effective <br />January 1, 1992, there sirnH -may be imposed a local gambling tax on all organizations <br />licensed to conduct lawful gambling within the City. The tax may not exceed three <br />percent (3 %) of the organization's gross profit from gambling activities within the City. <br />Proceeds of the tax shall be placed in a special fund to be administered by the City to be <br />utilized solely for the purpose of regulating all gambling activities within the City, <br />including but not limited to, the reimbursement of the City's administrative, legal, law <br />enforcement, and consulting costs. <br />Section 5. <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and <br />publication. <br />Adopted this 14th day of July, 1999. <br />ATTEST: <br />Joel R.
