EVIDENCE OF LOCAL/AREA SUPPORT <br />See Attached: Council Resolution <br />Park and Recreation - Letter of Support <br />School District- Letter of Support <br />5. AVAILABILITY /ACCESS TO 50% "HARD MATCH" <br />The City of Little Canada will commit to a 50% "cash match° from the park fund, <br />which has adequate funds available at the present time. <br />6. IDENTIFICATION OF THE SPONSORING UNIT OF <br />GOVERNMENT <br />The City of Little Canada <br />7. The City of Little Canada acknowledges that neither this funding source nor the <br />"hard match" can be used for in -house labor services and/or to meet existing payroll <br />(only contract services, materials and supplies are reimbursable). <br />8. EVIDENCE OF APPLICANT CAPABILITY <br />The City of Little Canada, through its Public Works Department, has the staff, <br />equipment and resources to operate, maintain and protect the proposed trail when <br />completed. The City through staff and consultants, has the expertise to carry out <br />the project, including the preparation of construction documents, bidding and <br />inspection of construction. All construction work will be done by contract. <br />Maintenance funds are budgeted in the annual parks maintenance budget. No <br />increase in anticipated in the amount of maintenance funds required for the trails. <br />9. LETTERS /EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT <br />See attached letters. <br />Recent community surveys have indicated that 81% of the residents favored <br />connecting existing trail segments to complete a city-wide trail system linking all <br />areas in the community.
