Hanson
Mr. Greg Schroeder
Ms. Elizabeth Mursko
Mrs. Kathy Glanzer
The purpose of tonight's workshop meeting is to review and discuss
code enforcement issues relative to Ryan Industrial Park. The City
Administrator indicated that staff would like the direction of the City
Council regarding key Code issues prior to the processing of Conditional
Use Permits in Ryan Industrial Park as a part of the City's code
enforcement efforts in the Park.
Mursko reviewed an overview she put together summarizing exterior
storage requirements in place in both Little Canada and surrounding cities.
She pointed out that all require a Conditional Use Permit in industrial
areas as well as have some screening requirements. Storage is confined to
the side and rear yards. While security is an issue with regard to screening
in some cities, others have required the screening without addressing
security concerns that property owners may have. Most cities require
100% screening or fully enclosed exterior storage.
LaValle indicated that while the ordinances surrounding cities have in
place are as reported by Mursko, the reality is different.
PAGE 13
