MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MAY 11, 1999
The next issue at the Public Works Garage is the exterior storage of
materials in the required front yard. It was the consensus of the Council
that the City's building should be in compliance with the Code, and if
there is a way to modify exterior storage to be in compliance, that is what
should be done.
It was noted that the employee parking area is not curbed or marked, and
Council directed that this be done.
Council discussed the exterior storage of salt, wood chips, and aggregate
materials. The Administrator recommended that the Code be amended to
allow this storage by CUP and Council agreed. Staff was directed to
prepare this ordinance amendment.
Council discussed the issues raised by Mursko relating to landscaping and
landscape screening at the garage, and Council indicated that the building
should be brought into compliance.
The final issue discussed was the fact that the common curb cut footage
exceeds the maximum width of 24 feet, except with the approval of the
City Engineer. It was noted that the City's previous engineer, Carley -
Torgerson approved this curb width at the time Country Drive was
reconstructed.
There being no further business, the workshop meeting was adjourned at
7:31 P.M.
Attest:
Michael I. Fahey, Mayor
Joel R. Hanson, City Administrator
PAGE 22
