any cost of living adjustments made to the salary scale for the position of Public Works <br />Director. In future years, the Public Works Director's salary scale will be adjusted in a <br />manner consistent with other employees. <br />Schroeder's salary will be reviewed annually thereafter in accordance with the review of the <br />salaries of other City employees in compliance with the City's comparable worth plan. The <br />City agrees to provide a performance review of Schroeder after six months of employment <br />and once per year thereafter. <br />3. DEFERRED COMPENSATION. The City shall allow Schroeder to enroll in the ICMA- <br />RC deferred compensation plan with contributions to this plan to be the sole responsibility of <br />Schroeder. <br />4. VACATIONS. Schroeder will receive one week of accrued vacation at the start of <br />employment. He will also be eligible for one week's additional vacation on January 1, 1999 <br />and each year thereafter subject to satisfactory performance. He will also accrue vacation <br />based on two weeks per year of service (1 -5 years) as outlined in Section 13 of the City's <br />Personnel Policy. <br />5. SICK LEAVE. Schroeder will receive ten (10) days of sick leave at the start of <br />employment, and accrue at the rate of one day per month as outlined in Section 13 of the <br />City's Personnel Policy. <br />6. HOLIDAYS. The City will provide to Schroeder the same standard holidays as enjoyed by <br />other employees as set forth in Section 13 of the City's Personnel Policy. <br />7. INSURANCE. The City will pay the cost of hospital and medical insurance for Schroeder <br />and dependents in the same manner provided for other employees pursuant to Section 12 of <br />Page 36 <br />
