Public survey responses:
A public survey was conducted from June 3 to June 16, though it remained open until the 21st to
capture stragglers. This survey was designed to collect resident opinions of the 2828 Condit
Street Site and to understand their desires for future land uses. To date, the survey has received
90 responses.

General impressions from survey responses are provided below.
• Of the 90 respondents, 81% are Little Canada residents, and 29% say that they also live
near the study area on Condit Street

Figure 1- Respondent Relationship to Site

Impression of this area of Little Canada
• When asked about this area of Little Canada, many respondents identified the site as part
of a larger commercial/industrial area within the city.
o Respondents noted the adjacent commercial land uses on Country Drive and the
intersection of Country/Little Canada/35-E. This was a recurring theme
throughout the survey, many respondents felt that commercial/industrial may be
appropriate here.

• A small group of respondents mentioned the site’s trees and general “open space”.

Site Assets
• According to respondents, the key assets of the site include:
o Proximity to pedestrian and bicycle facilities, and Gervais Creek;
o Convenient access to interstate highways and county roads; and
o Secluded open space and thriving mature trees.

Respondents stated that future development programs could leverage highway adjacency
and access, and ped/bike infrastructure to connect site occupants and visitors to larger
transportation networks. Additionally, they stated that development should protect some
of the forested areas on the site to maintain site character, buffers, screening, and shade.
