Nicholas Schwalbach
2912 Vanderhie St
Little Canada, MN 55117
December 5, 2012
Joel Hanson
City Administrator
Dear Joel:
I would like to express an interest in filling one of the vacancies that the city currently
has on its planning commission board.
1 have been a resident in Little Canada now for just over 3 years. Before moving to Little
Canada 1 lived in Roseville and then looked all over the eastern part of the cities when I
was deciding where to live. I ended up deciding to relocate to Little Canada for many
reasons but the major one was because Little Canada has a very unique small town feel,
yet is settled very close to the heart of the metropolitan area. Since living here I have
been able to experience the uniqueness that the city has been able to keep through its city
ordinances and other rules of governance. I am a regular user of almost all the parks
either playing sports or taking my dogs for a walk. I would like to give back to the city
on the planning commission board, and to also help solidify the look and feel that this
city has to offer.
On top of being a resident, my family owns the Hardware Hank located on Rice St. I
think because of not only being a resident but also a business owner, I would be able to
bring a unique perspective to the board. Once again, since moving our business to Little
Canada we have had nothing but the best experience. Again I think this would be a great
opportunity to give hack to the local business and residential community here in Little
Canada.
My resume is enclosed. Thank you for taking me into consideration for one of the
openings on the Little Canada Planning Commission.
I hope to hear from you shortly.
Sincerely,
Nicholas Schwalbach
15
