MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 13, 2013 <br />The Administrator also indicated that the League of MN Cities Insurance <br />Trust (LMCIT) recommends adoption of policies of this nature from a loss <br />control standpoint. <br />The Administrator pointed out that the City shares its sweeper with the <br />City of Falcon Heights, and there are agreements in place for how the <br />sweeper is shared. For example, Falcon Ileights is allowed to sweep first <br />during odd years and Little Canada during even years. <br />Blesener suggested that in addition to the Sign Maintenance Policy and the <br />Street Sweeper Policy, the City also put together a Seal Coating Policy. <br />Keis suggested that Item 2. F. be modified to qualify that it is the <br />bituminous contractor that is responsible for bituminous milling recovery <br />sweeping. <br />Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -2 -25 — ADOPTING THE STREET <br />SWEEPING POLICY AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC <br />WORKS SUPERINTENDENT WITH THE AMENDMENT <br />CLARIFYING THAT BITUMINOUS MILLING RECOVERY <br />SWEEPING IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ESTABLISH The City Administrator reported that the Veteran's Memorial <br />VETERAN'S Committee has begun meeting and planning for the creation of a <br />MEMORIAL Veteran's Memorial in Little Canada. The Administrator reported <br />FUND that a few donations have been received for the Memorial, and he <br />recommended that the City establish a Veteran's Memorial Fund and that <br />the City manage these donation. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -2 -26 — ESTABLISHING A VETERAN'S <br />MEMORIAL FUND AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
