After the facilities are removed, the site <br />shall be restored to its original or an improved state. • <br />Subd. 12. Antennas Mounted on Buildings and Existing Towers. <br />a) The placement of antennas on proposed or existing building <br />shall be a permitted accessory use provided the antenna <br />does not extend more than 15 feet above the top of the <br />building. <br />b) The placement of antennas on existing or proposed towers <br />shall be a permitted accessory use provided the antenna <br />does not extend above the allowed tower height. <br />Subd. 13. Interference with Public Safety Telecommunications. <br />No new or existing antenna shall interfere with public safety <br />telecommunications. The owner of any antenna creating interference with <br />public safety telecommunications is required to remove the source of <br />interference immediately. <br />Subd. 14. Additional Submittal Requirements. In addition to the <br />information required elsewhere in this Code, development applications <br />for towers shall include the following information: <br />a) A report from a qualified engineer which 1) describes the <br />tower height and design including a cross - section and <br />elevation of the structures, 2) demonstrates the tower's <br />compliance with the structural requirements of this Section, <br />3) describes the tower's capacity, including the number and <br />type of antennas that it can accommodate, and 4) if <br />applicable, documents indicating the steps the applicant will <br />take to avoid interference with established public safety <br />telecommunications, and 5) documents the height above <br />grade for all potential mounting positions for co- located <br />antennas and the minimum separation distances between <br />antennas. <br />B=112/16/96 <br />b) A letter of intent committing the tower owner and his or her <br />successors to allow the shared use of the tower if an <br />applicant agrees in writing to pay any reasonable charge for <br />shared use. <br />Page 3 <br />Pc ORDI.DOC <br />
