MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 26, 1997 <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97 -3 -66 — TABLING ACTION UNTIL THE APRIL <br />231' COUNCIL MEETING ON THE DONOVAN CONSTRUCTION <br />REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />ALLOWING USE OFA TRAILER AS TEMPORARY OFFICE SPACE <br />AND INSTRUCTING CITY STAFF TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL <br />INFORMATION ON THE ISSUE OF ROAD ACCESS INTO THE <br />AREA AS WELL AS ANY CODE ISSUES TO BE CONSIDERED <br />GIVEN THAT THE TRAILER IS LOCATED WITHIN THE <br />DONOVAN SHOP BUILDING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (3) Morelan, LaValle, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />DONIINIUM The City Administrator reported that Briggs and Morgan has <br />TAX CREDIT requested a workshop to discuss the Dominium tax credit issue <br />ISSUE at The Provinces. It was pointed out that the Mayor is recommending the <br />Council pass a resolution indicating its opposition to granting tax credits <br />for 100% affordable housing at The Provinces. The purpose of the <br />workshop would be to try and determine a percentage of affordable <br />housing that would work. Scalze indicated she has been contacted by the <br />president of the homeowners' association at Fluer Royal who is expressing <br />concern with the proposal. <br />Morelan indicated that he does not support 100% affordable housing at <br />The Provinces, and asked if Dominium has asked the City to consider <br />100% affordable housing. <br />The City Administrator indicated that resolution is needed on this issue <br />because Dominium has made application for tax credits based on 100% <br />affordable housing at The Provinces with the Minnesota Housing Finance <br />Agency. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97 -3 -67 — DECLARING THAT THE CITY OF <br />LITTLE CANADA WILL NOT SUPPORT AN APPLICATION FOR <br />TAX CREDITS FOR THE PROVINCES BASED ON 100% OF THE <br />UNITS MEETING AFFORDABLE HOUSING INCOME <br />GUIDELINES <br />Page 59 <br />
