BOB FLETCHER
RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF
14 W. Kellogg Boulevard
St. Paul, Minnesota 55102 -1648
Telephone: (612) 266 -9300
Telefacsimile: (612) 266 -9328
Thank you for your interest in Neighborhood Crime Watch.
We are enclosing the information package you requested. Please review and familiarize yourself with
the information.
The Neighborhood Watch Program is a cooperative effort between the Sheriff's Department and
individual neighborhoods. Its purpose is to curb residential crime. This program has been effective in
deterring crime such as burglary, theft, vandalism, and auto theft. Also, it has been useful in
discouraging prowlers and deterring sex crimes.
The greatest probability of preventing a burglary is through report of suspicious activity by concerned
neighbors. You are ESSENTIAL to us. We cannot be everywhere and through the Neighborhood
Watch Program, you become our eyes and ears.
We urge EVERY citizen to become involved by taking the first steps in crime prevention.
Please follow the "Steps for Getting Started" in the Neighborhood Watch brochure. If you have any
additional questions please feel free to call the Ramsey County Sheriffs Department Crime Prevention
Unit at 490 -4503.
Sinceryly,
1/'
zy>%k
Gary Wilzbacher, Deputy
Crime Prevention Unit
ADULT DETENTION DIVISION (612) 266-9350 • CIVIL PRC
Page 24
VISION (612) 481-1317 • WARRANTS (612) 266 -9320
