includes requirements established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). <br />Contractor shall provide adequate fire extinguishers on site at all times for emergency use. Security fence <br />shall be placed around open excavations. Windows and doors must also be adequately secured to prevent <br />access by the public. <br />10. Successful bidder(s) must ensure that the Gopher State One Call has been called for the location of all <br />utilities. Protection of said utilities is the responsibility of the Contractor. <br />11. All bids must include asbestos and PCB removal, if any exists, that is necessary. The City is not aware of <br />their existence. All said removal and disposal must be by a certified Contractor. All tanks if discovered, <br />must be removed by a certified tank removal Contractor according to all applicable rules and regulations, <br />and in coordination with an environmental testing company hired by the City to oversee and document the <br />removal and shall include all piping. The Pollution Control Agency must be notified ten (10) days in <br />advance of the removal. At this time, no tanks are known to exist at the site and price shall be negotiable <br />upon discovery of any. <br />12. The Contractor shall accept the premises as found and clear the site as specified. The City assumes no <br />responsibility for the condition of the buildings on site nor continuation in condition existing at time of <br />receipt of proposals for work or thereinafter. <br />13. The Contractor shall assume risk regarding damage or loss, whether by reason of fire, theft, or other <br />casualty or happening, to the specified building from and after receipt of contract and issuance of the Notice <br />to Proceed, and no such damage or loss shall relieve the Contractor from contract obligation to complete <br />work. <br />14. If the windows or doors are removed prior to the actual demolition, access must be eliminated by boarding <br />or another comparable measure. <br />15. The Contractor must ensure that water and sewer systems have been abandoned in accordance with City and <br />State regulations. The water service shall be disconnected at the building on the main and the building must <br />be turned off. The sewer service shall be capped off and sealed at the property line. Telephone, gas, <br />electric, cable TV or any other utilities shall be terminated under the supervision of the applicable utility <br />company. This shall include removal of any services above or below ground to any equipment and all <br />transformers, poles or switching apparatus. <br />16. The City is not aware of any wells or septic systems on the property except those lawfully abandoned. <br />Should Contractor discover existence of any well or septic system, the City shall be immediately notified to <br />allow this condition to be properly addressed. Contractor will stop work with no additional cost to City. <br />17. During demolition operation, the Contractor shall prevent dust and dirt from rising from the site by <br />appropriate means. <br />18. Contractor shall remove all fencing and signs including pole footings within the area of demolition. <br />Contractor shall also break up and remove all concrete or asphalt slabs or steps including parking areas and <br />dispose of at a State - approved disposal site. <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />Page 30 <br />
