MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
MAY 8, 1997
Frattalone replied that Allen Avenue will go all the way through from
Centerville Road to DeSoto Street. Frattalone reported that he would like
to build a model on the east end of the development, and would plan for
construction traffic to come from Edgerton and down Allen Avenue.
Frattalone indicated that he would keep construction traffic off DeSoto
Street.
One resident asked about drainage.
Frattalone reported that drainage would be directed to the north and to the
west.
A Centerville Road resident pointed out that there are five homes on
Centerville Road that do not have City water available to them. This
resident hoped that the water main could be extended past these properties.
Frattalone replied that he would not extend the water main on Centerville
Road as part of his project, and suggested that the City Council be
requested to consider this improvement.
A DeSoto Street resident asked if Frattalone planned to provide a buffer
along the DeSoto Street edge of the development.
Frattalone replied that he would be adding some trees and plantings along
the east end of the development. However, he would not be installing a
buffer. Frattalone pointed out that there are trees along DeSoto now.
However, the majority are not very good trees, and he would replace the
trees that deter from the looks of the development.
One resident asked if the large oak tree in the DeSoto Street right -of -way
would be coming down.
Frattalone did not believe this tree was on his property, but indicated that
if it was, he would insist that the tree remain and would not take it down.
Milan Moravetz, 476 Allen Avenue, asked the number of units proposed.
Frattalone replied that he is proposing 64 units to the south of Allen Street.
Moravetz pointed out that it appears one of the units north of Allen Street
is within the wetland area. Moravetz asked if the wetland would be
replaced.
Frattalone replied that he would be required to replace any wetland that is
disturbed. Wetland delineation is still being done on the property north of
Page 19
