Hanson <br />At the May 28th Council meeting, I was instructed to invite Commissioner Bennett and <br />Sheriff Fletcher to conduct a presentation on the proposed jail site at 694 and Rice Street. <br />Attached is correspondence from Commissioner Bennett which indicates that such a <br />presentation is premature at this point since he has not taken a formal position on the <br />issue. <br />At this point in the process, I would recommend that the Council take no formal position <br />on the matter. Commissioner Bennett indicates that the Council will have ample <br />opportunity later to provide input into the selection process. <br />Page 51 <br />
