FP.OM : INUESTIGRTIVE & LEGAL ASSIST. PHONE NO. : +486 7700 Jul. 07 1997 09:56PM P02
Investigative and Legal Assistance, Inc.
Mark Jaszewski
INVESTIGATOR
July 8, 1997
Mr. Joel Hanson
City Administrator
City of Little Canada
' Re: Reconstruction of Collapsed Retaining Wall on Dianna Lane
Mr. Hanson,
On July 2, 1997, 1 faxed a letter to the Director of Public Works,
Mr. Scott Tangen, alerting him about the retaining wall located at
the dead end cul de sac of Dianna Lane, that had collapsed due to
the storm of the previous night on July 1st. After the rainfall
that has fallen since that time, including the storm yesterday
afternoon and evening, T feel that the situation has become a
safety hazard to motorists and pedestrians on the roadway as well
as to any children who may play in the area of the collapsed wall.
Also, my property, which abuts the retaining wall, is sustaining
damage due to the nonexistent support of the wall. The lack of
action by the City of Little Canada to reconstruct the retaining
wall only increases my potential claim against the city. I would
appreciate prompt action to correct this situation.
Very Truly Yours,
/111 e
Mark C. J'aszewski
2410 bianna Lane
Little Canada, MN
Page 53
