MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />March 28, 1990 <br />CITY <br />ENGINEER <br />SEARCH <br />TAX FORFEIT <br />PROPERTY IN <br />PARK STREET <br />AREA <br />s1ln <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90 -3 -141 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO SWITCH THE CITY'S WORKERS' <br />COMPENSATION INSURANCE COVERAGE TO THE EMPLOYEE BENEFIT <br />INSURANCE COMPANY BASED ON THE ADMINISTRATOR'S <br />RECOMMENDATION AND APPROVING THE CITY'S ACTING AS ITS <br />OWN AGENT FOR THIS COVERAGE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Fahey, Blesener, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Fahey reported that the City sent requests for <br />proposals to several engineering firms, and received <br />proposals from 11 firms. A selection committee <br />reviewed the proposals and 4 firms were selected to be <br />interviewed. These interviews were conducted by the <br />Council and City staff, and the firm of Bonestroo, <br />Rosene, Anderlik and Associates was selected as the top <br />candidate. <br />The City Administrator reported that he has completed <br />reference checks on Bonestroo, contacting five cities, <br />three of which where Mike Lynch was active, and two <br />others where the firm has done business, and <br />recommendations came out well. The City Administrator <br />recommended that the City proceed to negotiate a <br />contract with the firm. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90 -3 -142 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO PROCEED TO NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT FOR <br />CONSULTING ENGINEER SERVICES WITH THE FIRM OF <br />BONESTROO, ROSENE, ANDERLIK AND ASSOCIATES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Council reviewed the correspondence from the County <br />regarding tax forfeit property in the Park Street area <br />as well as the Park Commission's recommendation that <br />Lots 2, 3, and 4, Block 7, North Heights be preserved <br />as wetland. <br />Page 11 <br />Page 15 <br />
