D. Permanent part -time employees, working a minimum of 20 hours <br />per week on average.pro-iected over a calendar year based on <br />anticipated demands of the position, other than seasonal or <br />temporary will be granted pro -rated holiday pay for each <br />holiday based on the average number of hours worked in the <br />preceding month, and subject to the criteria described above <br />for permanent full -time employees. <br />E. Any permanent full -time employee, as well as permanent part - <br />time, working a minimum of 20 hours per week on average <br />projected over a calendar year based on anticipated demands <br />of the position, other than the City Administrator, <br />Superintendent of Public Works Director, and Park & <br />Recreation Director, who is required to work on any of the <br />above -named holidays, shall be paid for each hour worked on <br />the holiday at their regular rate of pay plus time and <br />one /half. This rate of pay includes the holiday pay <br />referred to above. This handbook and this provision do not <br />apply to Department Heads hired after July 12, 1995. <br />Examples: <br />A full -time employee who is required to work 4 <br />hours on a holiday would be paid for 4 hours at 2 <br />1/2 times their regular rate of pay and 4 hours <br />at their regular rate of pay; <br />A full -time employee working 8 hours on a holiday would <br />be paid for 8 hours at 2 1/2 times their regular rate <br />of pay; <br />A full -time employee working 10 hours on a holiday <br />would be paid for 10 hours at 2 1/2 times their regular <br />rate of pay. <br />Should a Department Head be required to work on a holiday <br />due to an emergency situation, that Department Head will <br />receive equal time off for time put in. This handbook and <br />this provision do not apply to Department Heads hired after <br />July 12, 1995. <br />Vacations <br />A. Vacation leave shall be accrued on a monthly basis for each <br />calendar month of active service by all permanent full -time <br />employees and permanent part -time employees, working a <br />minimum of 20 hours per week on average projected over a <br />calendar year based on anticipated demands of the position, <br />other than seasonal or temporary, working a minimum of 20- <br />hours per week pursuant to the following schedule: <br />Length of Employment: <br />1 through 5 Years <br />6 through 15 Years <br />16 Years to End of Service <br />21 <br />Page 28 <br />Leave Days <br />10 work days <br />15 work days <br />20 work days <br />
