MINUTES PLANNING COMMISSION JANUARY 11, 1996 Harvey Anderson, owner of the Saxon, was somewhat confused on the effect of the Development Guide on his property, and asked if the City wanted a bowling center as part of this area. DeLonais asked Anderson if he would be willing to sell the property if a large developer offered to purchase the site with the intent of redeveloping it. Fahey suggested that long -term, it might be better to have a retail type of use on the site. However, the City is not saying that that is what will happen. The Saxon is fine where it is. Redevelopment efforts will be targeted further west. Anderson asked if the PUD zone would restrict his options in the future, such as cold storage, skating rink, etc. .Anderson was concerned that he bought a restricted property. Fahey pointed out that cold storage is not an allowable used under the existing zoning. Fahey pointed out that the PUD zone provides for more leeway, although it does give the City more controls.
