JAN -19 -1996 13:58 FROM SWEENEY BORER & OSTROW TO LITTLE CANADA <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 2220 OF THE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, <br />RELATING TO MASSAGE THERAPY AS AN ACCESSORY USE <br />P.03/07 <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. <br />Chapter 2220 of the Municipal Code of the City of Little <br />Canada is hereby added to read as follows: <br />2220. .M age Therapy as an Accessory u <br />2220.010. Definitions, <br />1. The term "massage therapy" means the rubbing, <br />stroking, kneading, tapping or rolling of the body with the <br />hands or other parts of the body for the exclusive purposes <br />of relaxation, physical fitness, or beautification and for <br />no other purpose. <br />titrcfice therapy is be disncfrom the lensd practeofmedine <br />osteopathy, chiropractic, physical therapy, podiatry, and <br />nursing, as well as athletic coaches and trainers. Persons <br />engaged in those professions are exempt from the provisions <br />of this ordinance. <br />2. The term "massage therapist" means a person who <br />practices massage therapy. <br />3. "Massage Therapy Establishment" shall mean any room <br />or rooms wherein a person may receive a massage from a <br />'massage therapist' for a fee. <br />4. "Sanitary" shall mean free from the vegetative <br />Cells of pathogenic - micro - organisms. <br />5. The term "accessory use" as used in this chapter <br />means a use at the same location with, and of a nature <br />Customarily incidental and subordinate to, the principal use <br />for said location. <br />2220.020• <br />1.
