ADDENDUM TO GAMBLING OPERATIONS INTERNAL CONTROLS <br />INVENTORY ACQUISITION AND CONTROL <br />1. All gambling purchases will be approved by the gambling manager. The orders will be <br />placed with licensed distributors by the gambling manager or site supervisor. The site <br />supervisor will receive permission from the gambling manager before placing an order. <br />The gambling manager will verify gambling equipment distributors license numbers to <br />determine that they are valid. <br />2. The gambling manager will in most cases receive deliveries of gambling equipment. In <br />the event the gambling manager is not available, the gambling manager may designate <br />an employee to receive gambling equipment into inventory. The gambling manager will <br />verify the quantities delivered. <br />3. The gambling manager will verify that the MN registration stamp is affixed to all <br />gambling equipment, when applicable. <br />4. Prior to play, a sales clerk will compare inventory to the distributors invoice to insure <br />that registration numbers, serial numbers, description of game and quantity agree. <br />5. The gambling manager, and /or site supervisor, will complete an inventory record for all <br />inventory received. The independent accounting service will maintain a computerized <br />tracking system for the flow of gambling equipment. All gambling equipment will be <br />accounted for as; purchased, in play, in inventory or closed. <br />6. The sales clerk will secure gambling equipment in a locked storage area each time we <br />are closed for business. <br />7. The gambling manager will have control of keys to all locked areas. The gambling <br />manager will issue appropriate keys to site supervisors. Site supervisors may issue <br />appropriate keys to sales clerks. <br />8. The gambling manager will maintain a list of persons with access to storage areas. <br />9. Sales clerks will count and record items taken from inventory. <br />10. At the end of each month, the gambling manager will take a physical inventory of all <br />gambling equipment. The independent accounting service will compare the physical <br />inventory to the perpetual inventory. Any differences will be reconciled by the gambling <br />manager. <br />11. The gambling manager must approve all purchases of gambling equipment. A list of all <br />persons authorized to place orders for gambling equipment will be kept by the gambling <br />manager. <br />Page 27 <br />
