MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />JULY 11, 1996 <br />setback is required and two neighbors each put up a <br />fence, there would be a strip of land between the two <br />fences. <br />The Planner pointed out that the type of material <br />proposed requires very little maintenance. <br />Keis asked about the east side of the fence. <br />Carson pointed out that the pillars every 20 feet will <br />provide "breaks" in the fence. <br />Duray stated that he was willing to paint the back of <br />the fence if that is required. Duray suggested he talk <br />to the resident in the mobilehome abutting the fence as <br />well as Frank Graczyk to find out what they want. <br />The Planner suggested that if colored block is used, <br />the fence would not have to be painted. <br />Mr. Carson recommended approval of the Conditional Use <br />Permit to construct a special purpose fence allowing <br />extra height and more substantial construction as <br />requested by Mr. Tom Duray, Hoggsbreath, subject to <br />compliance with Item c. in the City Planner's report <br />dated July 8, 1996, and subject to landscaping of the <br />green area on the west side of the fence. <br />The motion was seconded by Barraclough. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />ARCHITECTURAL The City Planner presented proposed architectural <br />GUIDELINES guidelines for the B -3 Districts within the City. The <br />Commission reviewed those guidelines and found them to <br />be acceptable. <br />Mr. Keis recommended that the Council adopt the <br />proposed Architectural Guidelines for the B -3 Districts <br />in the City. <br />Motion seconded by Barraclough. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />7 <br />Page 46 <br />
