AGREEMENT FOR BUILDING INSPECTION SERVICES <br />THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this 23rd day of November, <br />1994 by and between the City of Little Canada, State of Minnesota <br />(hereinafter referred to as "City "), and Castle Design and <br />Development Company, Inc., a Minnesota Corporation (hereinafter <br />referred to as "Building Official "). <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, City wishes to contract with Building Official to <br />perform building inspection and related services within City's <br />boundaries; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED by and between City and <br />Building Official as follows: <br />I. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />1. Building Official agrees to provide building inspection <br />services for City. Gregory A. Schmit shall be designated as the <br />building official /inspector for City under the terms of this <br />Agreement. <br />2. Except as otherwise specifically set forth herein, <br />building inspection services shall only include those types of <br />duties and functions customarily rendered by building officials <br />under law, and shall not include services which are normally <br />provided by the State of Minnesota such as electrical inspections <br />and issuances of electrical permits. Nor shall it include such <br />services which are normally provided by Ramsey County Department of <br />Health including, but not limited to, hazardous property inspection <br />for the purposes of Minnesota Statute 463.15, et. seq. Services to <br />be rendered shall also not include permits to be issued for signage <br />unless a building permit is required. <br />3. The standards of performance, method of providing building <br />inspection services as well as other matters incidental to the <br />performance of services under this Agreement including personnel to <br />be employed shall be determined by Building Official upon <br />consultation with City. <br />4. Under this Agreement, City will receive all applications <br />for building permits for all projects within its boundaries as <br />required by existing laws, codes, and ordinances. Applications will <br />then be forwarded to Building Official who shall review application <br />materials for conformance to planning, zoning, subdivision, building <br />code, and other local codes and regulations. <br />-1- <br />Page 109 <br />
