is not complete or when corrections called for are not made. This <br />item is not to be interpreted as requiring reinspection fees the <br />first time a job is rejected for failure to comply with the <br />requirements of this code, but as controlling the practice of <br />calling for inspections before the job is ready for inspection or <br />reinspection. Reinspection fees may be assessed when the permit <br />card is not properly posted on the work site, the approved plans are <br />not readily available to Building Official, for failure to provide <br />access on the date for which inspection is requested, or for <br />deviating from plans requiring the approval of Building Official. <br />The reinspection fee imposed shall be payable by the permittee to <br />City. In instances where reinspection fees have been assessed, no <br />additional inspection of the work will be performed until the <br />required fees have been paid. <br />III. COMPENSATION TO BUILDING OFFICIAL <br />1. Building Official shall be compensated for services based <br />on the schedule as indicated on Exhibit "A ", a copy of which is <br />annexed hereto and incorporated by reference herein. Exhibit "A" <br />shall be in effect through December 31, 1996 and may be amended by <br />mutual consent of the parties to this Agreement after that date. <br />2. Payment to Building Official by City for services rendered <br />shall occur within 30 days after receipt of an invoice which <br />documents the amount due. <br />IV. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS <br />The parties further agree as follows: <br />1. Building Official shall at all times during the term of <br />this Agreement be certified as a Building Official of the State of <br />Minnesota and provide evidence of same to City. Any sub - contractors <br />who assist Building Official in the performance of service to the <br />City shall likewise be certified. <br />2. City shall not assume any liability for the direct payment <br />of any salary, wage, worker's compensation, income tax withholding, <br />or any other type of compensation to Building Official for <br />performing services pursuant to this Agreement. This remains the <br />responsibility of Building Official. <br />3. City shall assume responsibility for providing Building <br />Official a current up -to -date copy of zoning and subdivision <br />regulations, zoning and subdivision maps, comprehensive plan and <br />other regulations on development adopted within City. <br />4. All contractors performing construction services within <br />City shall be required to provide . evidence of licensing and <br />insurance as required by local ordinance or State law.
