MINUTES <br />City Council <br />May 22, 1985 <br />Sofie/ <br />Peterson <br />(Cont.) <br />Fahey stated that the park dedication would be 325 feet to the east side <br />of Thunder Bay Road plus a walking easement. <br />Mr. Collova asked who wants a park in this area. Nardini replied that <br />the Park Commission would like a sand -lot ballfield for this area and <br />pointed out the number of children in the area. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 85 -5 -236 - APPROVING THE EXTENSION <br />OF THUNDER BAY ROAD TO THE SOUTH FROM COUNTY ROAD <br />D TO ALLEN AVENUE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Nardini, Collova, Blesener. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 12, Page 237. <br />Fahey stated that if the majority of the Council wants access to the <br />south, this should be put in the form of a motion. Fahey stated that <br />he did not feel it was necessary. <br />Nardini asked if a 500 foot cul -de -sac was permissible. Fahey <br />replied that is within the code. <br />Mrs. Scalze felt that the park requirements should be decreased to <br />225 feet from 325. <br />Mr. Morelan stated that the Park Commission was looking for a ballfield <br />area for the neighborhood kids. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 85 -5 -237 - APPROVING THE ONTARIO <br />BAY ROAD PRELIMINARY PLAT SHOWING ONTARIO BAY ROAD <br />EXTENDING ALL THE WAY THROUGH TO LABORE ROAD WITH <br />A CUL -DE -SAC AT THE NORTH END OF THE STREET AND A <br />CUL -DE -SAC AT THE SOUTH END BEFORE THE PARK AREA <br />WITH A WALKING EASEMENT BETWEEN THE TWO CUL -DE -SACS <br />AND WITH THE PARK TO CONSIST OF 225 FEET ON THE EAST <br />END, RATHER THAN THE 325 FEET AS PREVIOUSLY PRESENTED <br />AND WITH 275 FEET ON THE WEST END WITH THE JOG AS <br />SHOWN ON THE PLAT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Nardini. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Nardini, Fahey, Blesener, Collova. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />• This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 12, Pages 238 and 239. <br />Page -9- <br />5 ? <br />
