MINU.'CS
City Council
June 26, 1985
Jessica The City Clerk reported that in return for Mr. Frank Frattalone
Court installing a sanitary sewer lift station on Jessica Court, the
Sanitary City wiped out a deferred assessment on Mr. Frattalone's property.
Sewer
Mr. Fahey informed Mr. Frattalone of the Clerk's findings and Mr.
Agenda Frattalone indicated that he was agreeable to this conclusion.
Item No. 7
Sophie / Messrs. Sophie and Peterson appeared before the Council requesting
Peterson reconsideration of the requirement of putting their proposed road
Property through to LaBore Road.
Agenda Mr. Fahey stated that he looked at the property and has no problem
Item No. 8 with the provision that the road be extended through to LaBore at
a later date. Fahey also pointed out that the road would only have
a 24 foot mat and that there are 61 feet between the Sophie home
and Peterson garage.
Mr. Blesener stated that he had to stick with his original feeling
that the road should go through to LaBore Road right away. Mrs.
Scalze agreed.
Mr. Fahey commented that the mat will probably interfere less with
the Sophie and Peterson properties than these owners think it will.
However, Fahey felt that the City could be flexible in this matter.
Blesener stated that he thinks that the City has had too many things
done half way in the past, and should avoid this with the Peterson/
Sophie proposal.
Fahey stated that there would be a temporary cul -de -sac 500 feet
long, and the City could require that the property owners grant
the road easement through to LaBore Road. A bond should also be
required of the property owners. Fahey suggested that the road could
be put in when the last lot is sold.
Collova stated that he was agreeable to this, but felt that a time
period of about 1 year should be set and that the project should
not take 5 years. Collova felt that perhaps Peterson wanted to
generate some money in order to move his garage before the road
was extended to LaBore.
Fahey pointed out that it would be less expensive to put the road
through at one time and pointed out that sewer and water would have
to be looped to LaBore Road.
Mrs. Scalze informed the Council that the Park Commission has
recommended that for the safety of citizens in the area, Ontario
should go through to LaBore. Also, any additional property would
increase the 10% park land dedication. The northerly cul -de -sac
should reflect the additional lOt Scalze pointed out that the
park property should line up with the Frattalone and Cecka park land
dedication.
r"
5
